DREAM MAKER SPAS- FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How difficult is a Dream Maker Spa to install?
Because the Dream Maker Spas are completely self-contained, it is
quick and easy to install. All that's required is a flat, level surface that
can handle the weight of the spa with water, a standard 15 amp electrical
hook-up and a garden hose to fill it up. In no time at all you can be enjoying the warm, swirling water of your own
Dream maker Spa.
Can a Dream maker spa really help relieve the pain from arthritis?
Yes. In fact, the National Arthritis Foundation recommends a daily
regimen of portable spa use to help improve flexibility, range of motion and too
ease pain. A Dream maker spa is also great to help untangle tense muscles and
relieve everyday aches and pains.
How much will my Dream maker spa cost to operate?
A lot of different factors affect the cost of operation of your
Dream maker Spa. Things like your specific region of the country, the cost of electricity
in your community, how often you use your spa and where is your spa
sitting. However, your new Dream maker Spa is one of the most energy
efficient spas on the market.
What's the difference between a spa and a hot tub?
The term "spa" and "hot tub" are now used interchangeably, but
originally they meant two different things. In the early years of the spa
business, a "spa" was made out of acrylic or some other
thermoplastic. A "hot tub" on the other hand, was a wooden tank made
out of redwood, cedar or similar wood. Both had therapy jets, a pump,
and a heater and were designed for relaxation.
For a while in the late 70's and early 80's, wooden hot tubs were very
popular, but as acrylic portable spas became more sophisticated in
design and maintenance- features, hot tubs eventually lost their
popularity, but the "hot tub" name became part of our language.
Do I need special plumbing for my Dream maker spa?
No! That's one of the great things about our Dream maker spas. Because the
Dream maker spa has a built in heating and filtration system, you leave the water in. Simply fill the Dream maker spa with a garden hose.
Do you recommend a Ozonator be installed?
At one time with our smallest Hot Tub we did not recommend an Ozonator because of such a small body of water in that tub. However, with the bigger hot tubs that are now part of the Dream maker Spa line of spas, an ozonator kit may greatly decrease the amount of chemicals that are needed to operate your new hot tub.
Should I put my New Dream maker Spa inside or out?
It's up to you. Your new spa fits through a standard door, so
getting them inside isn't a problem, but they are so well insulated that
using them outside makes a lot of sense. When you use a spa inside,
you sacrifice size and depth, but that might be worth it if you want to
prevent the elements from getting to your spa. On the other hand, a lot
of people enjoy relaxing under the stars and savor soaking in the warm,
swirling waters of their spa during even the coldest days. Inside or out,
the choice is up to you.
When and how will my New Dream maker Spa be shipped?
Your new Dream maker spa will be shipped usually within 7 business days by common carrier freight truck. In most cases you can expect delivery 12 - 21 days from placing your confirmed order. However, the delivery time is almost always closer to the 12-day period. The freight company will contact you by phone in advance of the delivery, to let you know the expected arrival day and time. You will need to be on hand for the delivery. Your spa is delivered to your curbside and it is the customers responsibility to move the unit from curbside to the final location. We recommend you have two men or women available for this task and a clear path to the final location. A simple furniture dolly, which is nothing more than a wheeled wood frame with carpeted pads, may also be considered to help with the moving process. Furniture dollies are available at most rental shops for about $5 - $10 a day.
What is Hot Stick technology?
The hot stick is a friction heater. The hot stick is an apparatus that basically forces the water molecules to collide with each other to create friction, which in turn creates kinetic energy and heat. The hot stick is a PVC pipe divided into 12 small sections. All of the water
that goes through your spa is forced through these small sections. By forcing fast moving water into a tight space, the water molecules collide with each other to create friction and heat. After they go through the small spaces, they then meet up in an empty chamber, where a vortex is created. This vortex forces the water to circulate as fast as it can in this chamber. The energy created by this fast moving water also creates heat. The advantages are many. The number one problem that spa customers see is a broken heating element due to corrosion from chemicals and water. We don't have a heating element to corrode. Your typical spa with a heating element can't be plugged in to a 110 15 amp outlet either because the heater uses too much
electricity. Our spa only pulls 11.5 amps. So your electric bill is going to be lower than with your typical spa.
What about parts and service for my New Dream maker Spa?
Parts are factory stocked and technical help is offered through a "800" phone number supplied with purchase. Repairs of these spas are designed so that service is extremely easy, remove the bad part and install the new one, another great feature and advantage of Dream Maker Spas.
Where do I get chemicals and supplies for my New Dream maker Spa?
Most spa chemicals are the same from company to company.
A local pool and spa supplier or even a local wal-mart has great chemical supplies. They can help you with all your water maintenance needs. It really is simple.
